I didn’t expect psychology would be this competitive! Don’t get me wrong, I love psychology and I’m very passionate about learning new material. But turning it into a competition to just get good grades has ruined my motivation and I’m really struggling right now about my future. I wanted to become a clinical counsellor to help people and make people feel better, but seeing how they’ve turned psychology into a mere tool for milking poor students’ money (Basically the whole education system) has fucked me up while also having to study endlessly and working part time to support my family.
