Question about what theory this is
Post Body

I'm doing undergraduate research and the main theme is group confirmation bias. I was doing an observation yesterday and recalled there was a theory that details when a group of people are say trying to make out auffled audio recording, one person says "it sounds like they're saying 'I love you'..." And now the whole group is tainted and only hears "I love you" whether that's what is being said or not.

What is the name of that theory so I can find some papers on it? Thank you in advance for your help!!
