I'm a physicist. I've been doing "blind reads" by letting my friends write questions on pieces of paper, folding them, and putting them all in a jar. I pull one out at a time, close my eyes, focus on it without opening it or reading it, and write down the mental images that I get. I notice they are often shockingly relevant to whatever is written on the paper, but I have yet to determine whether they provide useful insight or if they're more a reflection of what's on the person's mind who wrote the question. I notice that mental images flow faster when I have a candle as the main light source. I think it's the flickering of the flame introducing more visual noise into the signal to noise ratio. I just read in the book "Entangled Minds" by Dr. Dean Radin that this finding is research supported as well.
Just curious if any of you guys are having any similar experiences you'd be willing to share.
Crystal balls and tea leaves and stuff might be sources of visual noise also, that make it easer for a person to mentally picture whatever unknown thing they are trying to tune into. The noise might even trigger mental pictures.
