Hi everyone. I have schizoaffective disorder, depressive type. I’ve tried almost all SGAs and a handful of FGAs like Loxapine and perphenazine. Most recently, I was on Invega 12 mg and was still having moderate paranoia, delusions, and residual hallucinations. Then I got TD real bad. Now my psychiatrist suggested I try Vraylar, to see if that helps with the TD and the psychotic symptoms. Isn’t Vraylar a weaker antipsychotic? He in the past has offered me a chance to try a weaker antipsychotic in the past. Is this standard practice? Thanks for reading.
