Change USA region to JP region

Okay picked up a Japanese Spch-5000 and installed a MM3 modchip boots backups of JP ntsc games fine but not USA ntsc backups. This a apparently a known issue with this version of the PS1. I can “boot” USA ntsc backups if I use FreePSXBoot unirom. I have read that you need to PATCH the region code on the ISO to JP, I can find lots of software to patch pal to ntsc or ntsc to pal but not the region IE USA to JAP region
