Freezing Liberty caps?

Picked a good few libs yesterday and I'm worried about drying due to not having one of the dehydrator things. So my other more realistic option is freezing. I read that you need to dry them before you freeze them, but my understanding of freezing is you need to have moister in something in order for is to freezer properly.. So I'm just wondering what is the correct method? Thanks in advance for any help
