Any Thoughts on a Mode with Less Starting Weapons?
Post Body

Title says it all, but I'll elaborate a little more.

I've been watching a lot of Apex Legends streams lately and one thing I've noticed is people enjoy looting weapons and comparing what they have with what they find. That is one thing I miss when playing PS:A. I already start with a full loadout of three weapons, all with various Mods in them. In Apex Legends I start with nothing and have to scavenge accordingly.

On the other hand, I do appreciate starting with the three weapons as it allows me to get into fights quicker but this has evolved into a new strategy that I and others are using. Don't bother to loot anything and just mount up and hunt. A coordinated group of 12 easily picks off the few stragglers who leave the confines of the drop zone and then that group loots/upgrades weapons without having to spend any time where they dropped.

Many times we've wiped out 3, then 4, then 5 players and all gotten the upgrades we've needed without having to do any pickups in the drop zone. It also eliminates a whole team worth of enemies. Then we rinse and repeat, always traveling in that pack.

So this brings me full circle, what if we started with only a Pistol? This should force everyone to loot the drop zone completely before heading out and remove some of the zerg pack mentality that seems to be winning most games.

Not sure if everyone listens to the podcast so figured I'd bring this idea up here rather than only on the show. I also like pistols. Speaking of, when is the NS-357 AI "Deringer" pistol being adapted into PS:A?
