Removing USB before the first OK prompt?

When I learned to hack my PS4, I always thought that I should insert the USB when prompted, and press the first OK after the notification pop-up disappears, then the second OK comes, only then, I could remove the USB.
Then while researching, I knew that you can remove the USB even before getting past the two OK prompts?
I'm using karo by the way.
