I feel this might be somewhat of a stupid question, as the PSX emulator on the PS3 is obviously not open sourced, but how far have people been able to push it? Obviously hackers found a way to get it to wrap the emulator around PSX iso's. Even a slight bump in the internal resolution could do wonders for these games.
If there was one area for improvement on PS3 it would have to be PSX emulation. We all know the system is a powerhouse at least when it comes down to the CELL processor, so surely there must be some way to hex edit some line of code in the emulator to brute force at least 480p and beyond?
