First failed print on my MK4

We bought the MK4 kit for Christmas last year and after putting it together have had perfect prints until this morning. I kicked off this print before bed last night and made sure the first layers had stuck then didn’t think anymore of it till waking up to this mess.
We’ve printed this model before but it was our first time ever printing with a 0.1 layer height so I wanted to ask is there anything in particular we need to do differently or was this just bad luck?
