Did prozac help you after other SSRI's didn't?
Post Body

Hey everyone, I've been taking antidepressants since I was 16. I was diagnosed with an anxiety & panic disorder and really needed medication. I started out on Paxil, took it for 5 years, but after 2-3 years it stopped working completely. (Kept taking it for 2 years afterwards because I was scared to withdraw). Eventually my psych then switched me to Lexapro, which helped, but not for long. 2 months ago my psych switched me to Venlafaxine, which I hate, I don't like these meds at all. I notice 0 improvement in my anxiety & panic and overall mood and the only thing I do notice are debilitating side-effects that just won't go away. So I called up my psych and made an appointment on the 15th of July. If things haven't improved by then we're gonna withdraw these meds and either switch meds again or withdraw from medication completely. Now i've been reading that Fluoxetine was a saviour for many people in similar situations. And I'd like to know your experience. Which meds did you take previously? Why didn't they work? Did Prozac help?
