Hey Guys,
Just a quick update on this. Part of the problem is the user had a mouse macro with a 1/2 second delay. The mouse macro was just a list of commands that it would run before recording the next take on the timeline. When the user pushed the but it would stop and start recording automatically.
This is partly because the user is using a recording setting called 'Quick Punch'. It allows you to press play when you have an audio track, and then record to continuously record on the audio timeline. Doing a bit of homework there should only be a 1 or 2 bar delay depending on the audio settings of ProTools ('setup' > 'click/countoff').
However, changing the Macro has only dropped the delay from 1 second to roughly 3/4ths of a second. The user doesn't consider this acceptable. And I'm still not sure what to look into to fix the problem. If anyone has any advice or experience with this, I'm more than happy to fix your wifi or internet issues X)
Thank you /r/protools for your support on the last email. Hope to hear from you guys soon,
