Best software to use when recovering PTF files

I posted about 6 months ago about trying to recover files from a corrupted hard drive using Stellar but all the PTF files didn't come with the actual sound. I'm wondering if maybe there's a better software that would recover the whole thing or if these are all just lost tracks
