Porn isn't free. If porn was free and didn't make money, no one would make porn. Well maybe a few exhibitionists would. Anyway more people are paying for adult content than they have ever before. And you should be glad, because without the people paying for content, you wouldn't get the free stuff.

Why is so much of it available for free? Because it's good marketing. Porn sites make money in various ways. Some will work on ad revenue, selling traffic, all sorts. Others offer higher quality work and most lower quality incomplete clips on tube sites. Many people are happy with the free, low quality, short clips you can get for free. Others want a higher quality experience and are happy to pay for that.

This company isn't being stupid.

Hey! I own a porn company

So with a lot of pornsites, you either market at straight people (majority of men) who do enjoy watching g/g, or you market purely for gay men.

I'm not sure why, but when a "straight" site offers gay content (and i'm not talking tube sites like pornhub) they lose a lot of their audience.

Gay men themselves also prefer purely gay sites, and will not normally look for gay sex scenes on non-gay specific sites. They might do a little, but if they're going to pay, they want a site that's purely focused on it.

The difference between gay videos and lesbian videos is that the audience for lesbian videos is much larger. Most straight men are happy to watch lesbian videos, and some exclusively so. Women will also watch lesbian videos. Lesbians will watch lesbian videos. Straight men however don't really watch gay porn, and whilst a lot of women do enjoy watching gay porn, women overall just don't pay for porn like men do.

Putting gay content on a straight site risks losing your straight male customers with a low chance of gaining paying gay customers. It's not considered worth the risk.

Tube sites can do what they like though because they're huge and don't work on a subscription basis (although pornhub is now doing this I think?)

Hope that gives a little insight! Also this might not be the reasoning for everyone else, but it's certainly the reason I don't personally post gay scenes on my website but i will post lesbian scenes.
