Differences between construction and IT?

Post Body
Currently on my third year as a construction PM intern. Thinking about IT PM (currently an IT Management major). What are the differences between these two?
What I know is that construction is almost always strictly waterfall. While IT can be agile, devops and the like. But I'm guessing there are IT waterfall domains too? What would these be? Infrastructure? Deployment?
Any comments, advice, or insights would be greatly appreciated!
