I’ve had the complete edition (or whatever) from steam that came with the almanac and such and was thinking that since the game was already text intensive that many would either not mind or love delving into the lore obsidian made for this game even more than casual game dialogue

How I propose to do this would be to of course get the PS4 version of the game and use its native connection to a well known site for streaming/uploading my let’s play for posterity

I know that everyone is currently on PoE 2 and all that jazz but I could not find a decent video of the lore that is contained in the supplemental material that makes the immersion that much greater

Example of layout: the meadow folk tracker/guide in the opening scenes mentions her background and/or the gilded vale geopolitical situation. I use that cue to to summarize what she actually is talking about ( like Durances connection with the saints war) as most of the backstory is implied that the player either knows wtf the npc is talking about or is just doing a forward world building exercise.

The reason I am considering bringing the back-lore (??) into the game is to help the immersion of the let’s play even further and since most stream/uploads from the PS4 are in real-time if I do perchance get any viewers - or even if I do not - then the PoE let’s play community is that much more immersive

For the nitpickers, I am considering a chanter orlan and taking along one or two main other characters and perhaps filling a couple slots with other inn-made adventurers :\

I honestly think it’s a great idea (lel) but am wondering what you guys think as something that may even catch on for other world building games - a la dragon age or divinity series and ofc PoE 2 - as many recent games try their best with backstory now and some gamers just skip through them as if they were playing an MMO ....
