Why is Might highly recommended for wizards? (plus side questions)
Post Body

I have finally had the chance to play Pillars of Eternity! I backed it on kickstarter, but haven't been following the dev diaries. It looks stunning, and I can tell I'm going to have a good time, but I'm left confused about a few things.

I'd been planning on building a character who has high mental stats to fit with my playstyle (someone who can use all kinds of dialogues and peacefully defuse situations). A wizard sounded like the ideal fit...until I started to build my character and found that wizards highly recommended Might.

I thought that Might was used like Strength in Baldur's Gate, but apparently not. It says it's used to "channel powerful magics."

What does that mean?

Would a different class be better fitted to my play style?

Am I wrong about what stats I would need for my play style?

Thanks for the replies; I want to get my character right before I spend dozens of hours in a campaign!
