It might sound silly to be so emotional upon the completion of a game, but sometimes I play big games like this slowly, a couple of hours a night, over long periods of time, and when it’s over it can feel quite special. I had similar experiences saying goodbye to The Witcher 3 and Persona 4 & 5.
I’m so grateful that games like this exist, that in a world of shiny instant gratification style games “as service”, there’s still room for slow paced, deep, complex, lore driven games. I felt so attached to the characters, so invested in the world building. I truly believe POE2 is a special game, and it’s one I’ll remember for a long long time.
Ramble over, I just wanted to share this moment I’m having, and celebrate this unheralded gem of a game one last time.
Same man same.
