I’m working on a project involving my 1980 GMC truck with a 350 small block engine, and I’m unsure about the next steps. Should I fix/rebuild the existing engine or swap it out with a different one? I’d love to hear your thoughts on which option might be more cost-effective and any potential performance gains.
If anyone has gone through this with their own project, I'd really appreciate some advice on pricing, parts availability, and the pros and cons of each route. Also, I’m looking for trusted mechanic recommendations in Orange County, CA who specialize in rebuilds or swaps.
