Post Body

So I have never done work on cars or at least any serious work. I am very interested in buying an old clapped out 1953 Chevrolet 210 or old 40s car to somewhat restore for cheap. Does anyone here have any experience with the old straight 6 Chevrolet engines or comparable engines of that time period? Or the engines from the 40s? How hard is it to find parts? And what does it take to really get something into running condition? Also how hard is it to get floor pans welded in? Seems to be a common issue where I live that floor pans are rusted out.
