Noah is great in his stand-up. Thatâs part of why he was hired on there. Itâs much more that heâs been given a forced perspective and the writers have just gotten worse and more polarising.

I know that the plural of anecdote isnât âdata,â but I do know that this isnât as universal as youâre making it out to be. I live in South Georgia, where the Klan still delivers fiery crosses and intimidates the black community with some regularity.
I spend a lot of weekends at a gun club range, where a lot of current and former law enforcement train and compete. Itâs a great opportunity to get some one-on-one coaching time from accomplished firearms instructors in the rigours of defensive pistol use and have solid discussions on the legal implications of actually having to pull or use it.
Every time, quite a few black men show up with their guns and join in the competition to get betterâsome even stick around and get memberships to come back.
Iâve never once heard a whisper of anything negative about them being there or having guns, unless there was a safety violation or a teachable moment, or some other way to help them shoot better, but thatâs something that the participating instructors there do to everyone.
At the very least, this group of âracist copsâ in the Deep South donât want the black community unarmed, they want gun owners to be safe and educated in their rights. It makes their job easier.
Despite what the news says, despite what youâre saying, I am living the experience of acceptance, even from the right-wing, south-Georgia, âbe out of town when the sun goes downâ people.
Ultimately, these are people who care more about rights than race, and in so many ways, thatâs something I am ok with in this arena.
