I was just thinking about how the lyrics of Karnivool's Goliath relate very well to the title of Sound Awake, and how they could have named that song Sound Awake as well and it would've worked (though of course Goliath is a fine enough name for a song with a bass tone like that)
What other songs are like this?
Do you just solely mean the literal two words, āSound Awake,ā and that the lyrics of Goliath technically echo those words..? Or that it would make sense as a title track? Iām just curious to hear more of what your thoughts were on this! Goliath is great, and itās sick where it is so early on the album and right before Deadman. But itās just sort of a limited song as far as lyrics are concerned (especially placed next to a song like Deadman) so Iām curious what all you meant. It goes hard and is a stand-out (maybe mostly or solely due to the bass) but it just doesnāt feel at all like a title track to me, particularly when looking at the lyrics aloneā¦ I wonder what it is that makes you feel differently or if there is something more in the meaning of the song that you feel is more emblematic of the album, beyond the linked meanings of all the songs and how they all represent the overall theme together.

I was just talking with my partner about your opinion on this and he actually really agreed it would make a great title track. Some of his points (also coming from a career musician as well as a huge prog fan) helped elucidate what you were feeling and I can get on board with your take a little more now:)
