When organizing and prioritizing tasks, I've found that my brain prefers doing it in a way I can clearly see on one page, with visually distinct areas, color coding, etc. House cleaning separated by room, prioritizing tasks with Eisenhower quadrants, etc. I'd like some advice on how to do this now that the way I used to is no longer an option.
In my teens I'd do this on paper. Of course as an adult life got busier and technology got better. For several years now I used the notes app on an iPad with a stylus. It was perfect: I could free draw and use pen colors and highlights like I did on paper, plus move things around the page easily. Simple as. But my iPad was recently stolen and I can't afford a new one for a while.
I use apps like todoist, make excel spreadsheets, etc. In some circumstances. Nothing I've found so far does the trick when I want to separate things out visually. Is there another thing I can use to retain that capability without going back to paper?
I have access to my phone (old, not stylus compatible) and my PC laptop (also old, no touch screen, pretty slow).
