What Is The Best Task App! for Recurring Tasks?
Post Flair (click to view more posts with a particular flair)
Post Body

I recently switched from an S21 Ultra to a Pixel 8 pro. I previously used Samsung Reminder app and its accompanying widget for reminding me to turn in my weekly university homework. I like how when I hit complete on a recurring task it would create another task for the next date and say "x days until due" and it would show correctly on my Google Calander

Since Samsung Reminder is not avaible on Pixel phones I tried using google Tasks and Todoist since they're highly recommended. however I am having difficulty recreating the same system.

From what I have experianced on Google Tasks:
When you create a recurring task it will create a task that once marked as complete will not show again until the day when its due.

For example:
If I have a task that says "submit homework" with a due date of "11:59PM Sunday 7th" and mark it as complete on google task it will go under the completed section and it will look like I have no more tasks due and not show again till sunday the 14th. I would like it to pretty much unmark it as complete or create a new task that would say "submit homework" with a due date of "11:59 PM Sunday 14th"

Any app reccomendations or settings to achieve this behavior

Thank you for the help!

I faced a similar issue when switching to a Pixel phone

I found that TickTick app works great for managing recurring tasks and creating new ones after completion

Give it a try!
