Today is my 3rd day! (Reposting my comment on someone else's post)

I was never a huge fan of the casino, I began betting on sports. It was a freaking roller coaster of a ride that went through the highest of highs and lowest of lows and eventually crashed and burned.

I started with a fund of $1000 and after winning my first bet I instantly withdrew my original $1000 fund. I thought to myself man this is fun and now I'm just playing with the book's money this should fun. After a few months, my balance was up to $5200. I was at my $5000 goal (which was originally $2000 btw) so I pulled out the $5000 and bet with that extra $200 and run it up to maybe $770 or something and lost it.

I eventually have my $5000 in my crypto wallet and I thought to myself wow this is awesome, this balance was from me beating the books! I then think about that $770, I could've had and just gambled with that. So I go to a new site and deposit $200, lose that. Now my balance was at $4800, and I felt the need to at least have $5000. Deposited another $300, lost that. Now I'm down $500, deposit $1500 get it back to $5220 or something, awesome I'm back where I was! Withdrew the $5000 played with the $220, lost it. Deposited $500 lost that. Deposited $1000 lost it, after 3 consecutive games of Dodgers losing in the bottom of the 9th.

I still remember seeing the cash-out option to end with a $100 profit ($5100) and I thought to myself "Dodgers only need 1 inning and have a 1 run lead this should be good to get the payout of $200" and they proceed to lose. I bet on them again the next 2 games and now the hole just gets bigger and bigger. I now am down $1200 or something so I deposit the rest of my winnings and place ridiculously high wagers on some UFC fights and parlays with baseball. What stung the most is the fights I bet on went the distance and something wasn't right with the judges' decision. Terrible judging the whole night. I felt like the judges may be linked with the books or something.

I'm beyond tilted at this point. I deposit the remaining of my BTC wallet, something like $2500, and I lose that too in the same night on the remaining fights which were also poorly judged. This was my awakening that even when you win in gambling you lose. If it weren't for me losing my money I'd probably still gamble and it probably would've ended the same way one way or another. It still hurts but at least I have begun my journey to stop gambling. It consumed my life these past few months. It still hurts to think that I lost so much chasing a $200 loss. Even though I lost $2500 out of my pocket it feels like $8000 or so considering the money I could've walked away with. Oh well, lesson learned. Sorry for the long story just felt like getting it off my chest.
