On January 1 of this year, I told myself that I would exclude myself from lottery scratchers, print n' plays, Pick 3s, Pick 4s, Cash 5s, Powerballs, and Mega Millions. I am proud to say that I have kept that promise more than 10 months later. Within the last month, I've talked to and apologized to two important people in my life who lent me funds when I went broke from my addictive habit: my mom and my cousin. Both are forgiving of me, and they are proud to see the progress I've made since confessing my addiction yesteryear. Last, but definitely not least, I am proud to say that I made the final payment to one of my credit cards that was nearly maxed out at the beginning of the year. I cannot wait to see the balance of it when the payment gets processed in its entirety. I will be focusing my attention on the second card immediately.
