Post Body

I’m on month 10 of 6 years. No violations, got judge approval for MMJ.

I want to travel to Los Angeles for a few reasons, one being a specialist doctor for a chronic illness, second being for work.. free lance audio engineer, not employed I work out of different studios, can’t really prove that income. I also have a primary and psychiatrist that I used to see regularly in person and in zoom.

I have considered asking for a transfer, however it takes time and I’m not sure how the court fines transfer, also my current p.o is great and do t want to get stuck with a potentially stricter p.o. I completed all community service and a 30 week class

Another reason I don’t want to transfer is because I have a feeling I can get off very early in my current situation. I can’t say the same if I wet to transfer, and then also request early termination after 2 years or so.

Charge is agg assault w/ deadly. Also just completed 9 months probation for unlawful restraint , at the same time.

I know a truck driver in my same situation, he lets them know and is approved for 2 weeks at a time, I believe. He still has a ankle monitor I got mine off months ago.

I plan to travel between La and Dallas 1-2 times per month.

What’s my best option?

Edit: typo
