my 2009 prius smells like engine oil inside and i need the smell to go away (read below)
Post Body

this picture shows my 2009 prius after i took it to my local mechanic shop i always go to after they added some more oil to my car and they forgot to put the cap back on. this was back in november. let me preface by saying i don’t know much about cars, im a college student and this car was handed down to me but i wanna take care of it. after getting the oil topped off, i noticed a strong scent of oil in the car while driving it home. when i got home, i opened the hood and found the oil bay with the cap off and the cap in a completely different area. my mom and i called and complained. the owner was very apologetic, and replaced my air filters, tpms sensor that was bad, and stated next oil change will be on them. he also stated the guy was fired for this and for other reasons. fantastic. the guy who topped off the oil seemed like he hated his job and his life. but my car STILL smells like oil in the cabin and it’s frustrating. i drive this car every day and don’t wanna smell that all the time. i’ve put it off because i had other things going on in my life and i thought maybe driving it around a bit would burn off the oil that spilled onto the engine. but no. it. still. smells. what do i do to make this smell go away
