Need help at my first solo show hand printing large typographic linocut map in London
Post Body

Hi,

I posted on here a Year ago about the possibility of printing the linocut shown here:

With a steam roller.. I've not been able to source one, so its looking like i'm going to be having to do it by hand. This is a daunting task, that I really do not think I will be able to do on my own, and am looking for people that have the know how (and time free) in printing by hand, to help me with the printing of the thing.

i did manage to make a rubbing of it though,

but really would like to make the first print in the gallery.

Or I need help with making a large heavy roller to print the work.. But unsure how to figure out how heavy the roller would need to be to make the print.. Any thoughts would be much appreciated...

The details are:

Londonewcastle Project Space 28 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DP

Date:25th Jul - 10th Aug Opening times:Tues – Fri 12 - 7pm; Sat & Sun 11 - 6pm. Closed Mondays. Entrance Fee:Free

Live printing events: 26th – 27th July and 2nd – 3rd August Opening reception: 24th July, 6 - 9pm

The space is rather big, one of the rooms, the back one for those that might have seen the gallery, will start off empty and hopefully fill up with some prints over the course of the show. The rest of the space will be filled with various works i've done over the past 7 years.... including the typographic map of Paris mono prints that no one has seen on display yet, which was featured in this blog post if you would like to read about it:

I have to say i've been terrible with releasing the works, i've been terrible with getting anything on display! 5 years since the paris map was done, which is madness to say, and I did have so many people wanting to see it. I've just been hiding away working and finding the best opportunity and space to display the works (plus it did take a couple of years to even find a decent location to make prints, on a big enough press, which I found in the end)

Hopefully I could provide people with an interesting and fun experience for those that are able to help, please feel free to link me to your work if you are willing/able to help and i'll be sure to get in touch.

Cheers.
