I just picked up a used LP540c printer and I can not figure out how to connect to it at all. I've followed dozens of how to guides, googled my little heart out and still nada. Any help would be so appreciated 🙏🏻I can feel my grey hairs multiplying by the second over this lol.

It prints the test pages from the printer menu beautifully. So I'm really hoping it's a me problem not a printer problem.

I've turned it and the PC off an on multiple times and checked for updates.

I've plugged an Ethernet cable in. I'm really confused on if my router or modem need a special port though.

I've plugged a USB to USB type B directly to it and the PC.

I've downloaded the universal driver, the ps3 driver, a couple similar models drivers from ricoh. None of them ever actually seem to install

I've tried adding manually via hostname/IP address as well as the list of brand names. The lp540c doesn't show up on that list.

I cannot mess with any settings whatsoever on the printer due to not having privileges. Not even what paper tray to use. Is there a factory reset I need to do?

To make matters worse I somehow just locked up trays 1 2 and half of 3???
