Completely flush Epson ET-8550 ink for different type of ink (Sublimation) - is there more than what meets the eye?

Post Body
Hey, I've seen videos of the ink being flushed out so I can get that no problem. Flushing until clear shows that no liquid ink is present, but what about any chemicals or hardened ink somewhere in it? If like to be a little more assured that I can convert the printer and not just be out several hundred $$. Thanks for your time!
