Contemporary Earth Sci-Fi?
Post Body
Weird title, but couldn't think of how to phrase it.
I'm looking for books similar to A Scanner Darkly, which takes place in a reality that is not fundamentally dissimilar to our own.
The Southern Reach Trilogy fits to some extent.
Murakami's 1Q84 is also a good example.
