Okay so two questions here:
My immunologist diagnosed me with IgG Subclass Immunodeficiency a few months back. The vaccine challenge clearly showed it. I am very proud of finally getting this diagnosis. As much as it sucks, I consider it a badge of honor in a weird way, and I feel like nobody will ever take that away from me. Because it's MINE!
So I was just randomly thinking about my health just now, and I thought about how my endocrinologist tested my Vitamin D levels, and how they were at a 7. Yes, 7. And now I'm sitting here, getting more paranoid by the minute, because what if the whole reason I have this lousy immune system is only because of the low vitamin D? What if I don't really have IgG Subclass Immunodeficiency, and it's just been a low vitamin D issue all along? Is that possible? That's question 1.
Question two is this: my endocrinologist recommended 4,000 to 5,000 IU of vitamin D. I found some gummies on Amazon I want to try. But would Vitamin D help someone who is immune deficient? (Keep in mind i cant start IVIG/SCIG until I get SSI and Medicaid. All brands have financial assistance, but you have to have insurance in order to qualify.)
Thanks!
