So I am currently in the research stage of getting my immune issues diagnosed.
The background info: I had constant earaches well into my 20s, and I still have chronic bronchitis even now, at 36. i always seem to get these infections from "nowhere." i don't catch them from anyone. They just happen. And I seem to be worse than other people who have it, and I stay sicker for longer than others, too. I've also had 3 to 4 staph infections (one of them was MRSA), a dental abscess my dental hygiene is good), and constant infections of the skin and lay parts (no STDs or STIs). I also have two different autoimmune diseases, psoriasis and vitiligo. I also have EDS, and a comorbidity of that is CVID. It all just makes me think.
So was just digging through some old lab results, and I need some help figuring out if any of them could be connected to my immune issues. I know that no one can give medical advice, but I am working as hard as I can to see an immunologist. So here they are:
- IgM: 272 (Reference range: 26-217) [My IgA and IgG levels were fine. I did not have a contagious illness at the time of testing.
- Platelets tested on 7/2/19: 114 (Reference Range:163 - 369)
- Platelets tested on 4/6/18: 121 (Reference Range:163 - 369)
- Platelets tested on 1/18/18: 126 (Reference Range: 150-379)
- Platelets tested 08/09/2019: 123 (Reference Range: 136-407)
- Lymphocyte: 19.3 % (Reference Range: 24-44 %)
Other than that, my urinalysis from a recent hospital visit just indicated a UTI (which was asymptomatic as always), and I get those constantly, too. It doesn't ever matter whether I'm sexually active or not. And I do not use tampons, I do not use douche products, I do not put soap or anything else inside of me, I am hygienic, and I know how to maintain feminine health (sorry if any of that was TMI).
Could anyone offer some clarity?
Also, what is the difference between PIDD and CVID?
Thanks!
