Winter is coming so I thought I’d share my new addition to my vehicle prep bag. I’ve never seen it talked about on any YouTube videos so I thought I’d mention it. Let’s say you’re in your car and it went off a road into a snow bank in the middle of winter and your in desperate need of help. All of the winter vehicle preps talk a lot about survival and signaling but hardly ever talk specifically about rescue. I’d be hard for a car passing by to tell if your car was just left there waiting for a tow or if someone was surviving inside waiting for help. Any kind of orange flags or leds could be misinterpreted as caution signals to make sure you don’t hit the vehicle. By adding a bright yellow or orange window paint marker to your kit you could write help or SOS on any windows that are visible from the road giving a clear indication of what your situation is.
