As time went on it might shift more toward insomnia, confusion, paranoia and isolation. A person who is both in pain and experiencing intense reward signaling (dopamine) may become violent when confronted.

They might also suddenly seek out familiar places of support ie home or church further spreading the virus

Violence could certainly be a possibility but seems like it would only be one reaction among many.

Many neurological diseases or drugs can make violence more likely, but few/none are selective for aggression.
