I’ve seen surge protectors for vehicles that will supposedly keep a vehicle from dying in an EMP incident (high level nukes, solar flares, etc.).
Does anyone know if these will actually do what they’re supposed to do? Are they a waste of money? Is there anything you can do to protect a vehicle from EMP short of turning your entire garage into a Faraday cage?
As a follow-up, I’d like to store radios, an iPad, small electronics in a trunk to protect them as well. Will copper sheeting of the trunk work or do I need a different metal?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
