How would the new mac mini handle premier?

I dond do much in premier but im starting to do a little bit. My 2013.macbook pro isnt doing so hot. All i do is take a few hundred photos in for frames (granted theyre 50mp) and then some pan/zoom effects. Maybe get into some text overlay.
Instead of getting a new laptop, im thinking i may be better off getting a mac mini or building a desktop pc.
