Hello Reddit,
I've come across a lot of performance issues and stuttering when using Premiere Pro and i'm trying to figure out what my Bottleneck is because i cant keep cutting my Youtube Videos with 1 frame every 2 seconds ( not exaggerated ) and having to pre-render for a watchable preview.
Before naming my Specs I want you to know what kind of footage i'm working with:
-Gaming footage h.264 1440p with a 28000 Bitrate in OBS
-4k Gaming Footage with 120000 Bitrate (But i keep having problems regardless of using the footage or not)
I at least like to think that i'm not using too many effects.
I often have png files flying around on top of a 1440p recording.
Basically using the Transform plugin for smooth Zooming or Transitioning,
while I sometimes do speed up footage (sometimes maxing out premiere), I ALWAYS either render them out and replace the footage inside premiere or i deactivate it because otherwise I have to wait 10 seconds for premiere to work again.
My Specs:
-Ryzen 5 3600x
-16GB if 3733Mhz DDR4 RAM
-RTX 2080 Super
-Footage is saved on a seperate 12TB external Harddrive connected via USB-C ( Because i ran into the same horrible replay performance when loading the footage from my nvme ssd )
I Stresstested the whole PC to make sure that i have no stability issues.
I'm hoping to get some answers and wanna apologize if my english is a mess!
greeting form germany :)
use proxies and upgrade 32 gb ram. that probably helps. maybe footage on ssd as well. you can put it back on the hdd when youre done with the project. grüße zurück.
