Hi folks,
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you can offer here :)
Long story short, I had a very abnormal undergrad experience & am left with Dalhousie as being my one viable option for applications. In light of the recent changes to admissions criteria (pre-interview score is now 50% GPA, 25% MCAT, 25% CASPer), I'm reconsidering whether I should attempt gaining IP status by moving from Ontario to Halifax.
The CASPer's the CASPer, so I'll write that when the time comes, but otherwise, have a 3.8 2-yr GPA and a 513 MCAT. In past years, these'd be fine to apply with, and I know no one's got a crystal ball, but I'm unsure as to whether I'll still have a good shot at an interview with a <3.9 GPA going forward. I do interview well, and I think my ECs/story will be strong, but with this change, my confidence about moving is lower. I'll also be applying with an MSc.
Thanks a bunch for reading, cheers!
