I’m unsure of my chances in Canada currently because my GPA, while good, isn’t where the admission averages are. I’m currently at a 3.65 (due to some difficulties from COVID), projecting a 3.7-3.8 cGPA by the time I finish my 4th and 5th year (that’s if I get straight A’s).
I have a 518 (128 c/p, 131 cars, 129 b/b, 130 p/s) mcat score from this summer. I’m incredibly pleased with this result.
I have 2 years of clinical experience working as a PSW in a hospital and assisted living facility.
I’ll have 3 years of leadership experience within my university as an orientation leader. I have significant volunteering experience within my community as well.
I will be doing an honours thesis next year that I will try and get published.
Is this enough to overshadow my low GPA? Do I have a chance in Canada?
