I’ve worked as a dental assistant for a year now. The only reason I started this job was because they paid more than a medical scribe. Now I’m applying to medical school but I don’t know how to frame that around patient contact. I assist the dentist in terms of oral surgery, regular fillings, orthodontist and root canals. I spend about 90% of my day interacting with patients, interacting with dentist, interacting with dental anesthesiologist and contacting the patient’s primary care physician so that I can coordinate with you know their medical conditions to their dental treatments. I would appreciate any advice before starting my application. Hank you
