On page 7 or so it asks if you have had any adversity growing up (i.e. economic, educational, familial, ethnic) and asks you to rate them as moderate, mild, severe.

I have questions about if I should talk about any of the following.

  1. As child I was diagnosed with NVLD and this made school a little challenging but I eventually got off my IEP and was able to do great as a student.
  2. My Dad's alcoholism affected my family greatly growing up - no further explanation needed here.

Are these things worth discussing in my adversity question to them? I'm OOS and don't think i have a shot anyway so I figured I would just go all out with the adversity stuff in hopes it makes me stand out.
