Nontraditional student with a bunch of questions.
Post Body

Ok so im new to this sub. I have a bunch of questions.

Life story- I went to college wanting to become a doctor, a few years into my four year college a bunch of family stuff (death of a family member) and personal (ending of a long relationship) came up. I then struggled with school and personal problems, ending with me failing out of school.... Fast foreword 4 years and I am a licensed paramedic having worked in a hospital or on a truck for the past 3 years. I have really found my self and I was wanting to try for medical school again. However now with family and my need to work I cannot relocate to another four year college. I have a community college very close to me and was wondering what everyone though about doing all the prerequisite classes at a community college. Then applying to med school.

I would like to try and apply to med school without obtaining a full undergraduate degree for time and money reasons. I am a minority and the first of my family to even attempt college. Let along medical school. I have gotten an associates in emergency medical sciences since my time at the four year college.

My big questions are, is a community college sound like the right route for me? Would taking all my classes there be a poor choice? If need be I would after saving money enroll into a four year for some upper level sciences, but right now that's just not aviable to me.
