Thus far I've been working as a pharmacy tech for a year. (Since last November) I've shadowed really only for 10 hours with an ophthalmologist. I haven't really gotten around to shadowing any other specialties. I ended up with my pharmacy tech job because my high school was offering it along with medical assistant, nursing, dental, and EMT courses. I'm looking to take the MCAT this April (which I did register for but am a little iffy on) but I worry about if I should feel concerned about my bare bones applicant profile. I do like the experience I've gotten with pharmacy because I had considered being a pharmacist at one point. But ultimately ruled it out as an option after a couple of months in the pharmacy. I love my job rn and I love being in an environment of kind people and customers, and also being able to help them save money. I, however, worry that people will see this as insufficient for applying to medical school as I see all these posts with 100000000 hours of literally everything possible. I am mostly going into this blind since I am only really getting the guidance of advisors at my university; nobody in my family pursued the route I'm in.
Any guidance is appreciated
