Post Body

I have some questions and my background is below. I would like to apply for the Fall 2025 entry.

  1. If I take classes this summer (if possible) plus Fall (spring only if necessary), would this allow me enough time to MCAT study? Is it timeline sound for me to take the MCAT in May 2025?

1a. To be on the safe side and cover most schools required coursework I need 28 more credits. Could be a lot less but I don’t want to limit my options. Need prerequisite coursework: 4 credits of Chem 2 because I got a D, 4 credits of Biochemistry, 6 credits of English (because I only got a 3 on AP Exams and schools requiring English want a 4/5). 4 credits of Orgo 2, 4 credits of Physics 2, 6 credits of behavioral sciences like psychology and sociology.

  2. Being out of school for many years thoughts on courses like Princeton Review?

  3. I have no clinical hours, when should I start getting them?

  4. Any general advice for someone in my situation?

I graduated in Human Health & the Environment in Fall 2020. I have been working as a lab scientist since. I was originally an environmental engineering major but then felt like I was following in my father’s footsteps too much and wanted to be more healthcare. I found the program Human Health & the Environment and sounded right up my alley. Time has passed and through facing my own health problems I fell in love with endocrinology and urology. Nobody in my family is in the healthcare field so this is all kind of foreign to me.
