What to look for when picking a midwife?

Newly pregnant, and due to covid its been extremely slow trying to get me an obgyn.. SOOO I've been looking into midwife options a) seems to be faster b) seems to be more personalized.. However this is so new to me, I have nooooooo idea what to look for when deciding the pros/cons & would be a good fit for me & baby.. any advice or suggestions welcomed! 🙏
