We broke up right before I found out I was pregnant. He had me blocked on everything so I had to have my friend send him a text. He wanted to see me take a test in person so I let him so he knows I’m really pregnant. I explained we can do 50/50 custody and that’s fine with me but as far as communication during my pregnancy I really want to be surrounded by people who love me so if he doesn’t want to work this out I’ll let him know the due date and everything but I don’t want contact during my pregnancy. He said he wanted to work it out but hasn’t really made any effort so I think, knowing him, he just said it to be able to keep contact while not putting in any effort. I made an appointment with my gyno and told him I’ll let him know how it goes and he called me asking to be at the appointment with me. I’m personally not comfortable letting my ex (who also cheated on me our entire relationship and looked at photos of his dead ex and constantly lied to me) be at such a vulnerable and what’s supposed to be special appointment. I also said I don’t want my ex who has me blocked on everything at my appointment because he shuts me out so much but I’m supposed to let him be at all my appointments that he doesn’t need to be at? I can just tell him how things went he doesn’t have to be there, I don’t want to deal with someone asking if he’s the boyfriend and I have to say he’s my ex. I’m emotional too so I know I’d pop out and say “this is my ex who has me blocked on everything and cheated on me but he’s here because he feels he has a right, even though I have no rights to his doctors appointments or even Instagram”. I just want some advice and hopefully there’s so of you who can give me advice who are in the same situation (although I don’t wish this situation on anyone)
