Post Body

I’m 37 5 and get dehydrated so easily. It is summer which might be making it worse but I drink atleast 80 oz of fluids and water a day, but I still feel dehydrated all the time. I was sent to L&D about a month ago due to slightly elevated BP and severe headache. They gave me IV fluids and after about an hour it went down to normal and I was released but mind you it was 110 degrees that day.

Fast forward to yesterday, I wasn’t feeling baby move like usual and though I have an anterior placenta it was still out of the ordinary, so I went straight to L&D. I after 3 hrs of NST she had 3 heart rate decelerations. They also gave me a BPP ultrasound which she passed w flying colors. They weren’t too concerned but kept me overnight for further observation in case she was in distress and I needed to be induced. I also had a heart rate of 130/140 when I first got there which suggested dehydration. So they gave me IV fluids and by the morning she had no other decelerations and I was released. They said apparently dehydration can cause the babies heart rate to do that? This dehydration thing hasn’t been an issue since about July which may be cause of the heat. But nowadays I really don’t leave the house and stay in the AC which I don’t understand. I was tested for GD at 22 weeks and everything came back fine. Like I said I drink ATLEAST 80 oz a day but I’m trying to drink a lot more now. Any tips or suggestions on staying hydrated or what could be wrong?
