We have been seeing a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist as well as our OB this whole pregnancy since I am a first time mom and our pregnancy was conceived via IVF. We love both of our doctors and their practices, they have been so wonderful and kind.

I am 35wks today and went in to see the MFM as I have been weekly. Doctor asks when our delivery date is and I tell her March 14th as it has been this whole time. She gives me a funny look and says "no it's not" and then asks if the OB has been getting her notes recently. She looks at her paperwork and tells me that she's going to make another note for them and will call them so they update my file, and that our delivery date is in 2 weeks! They diagnosed me with gestational hypertension, and although my urine and blood labs came back as normal, they want to deliver me sooner to mitigate any risk to myself. She said since our little nugget has been growing really well, she sees no problem with an earlier delivery.

The OB called me shortly after and scheduled to see us tomorrow and discuss things in more depth. My wife and I are excited, but also a little shell-shocked to be honest. We thought we had so much longer! Our nugget is still breech and seems comfy that way, so they will be attempting an ECV and that is a bit nervewracking as well.

I went in today expecting a normal appointment and left it with the knowledge that we will be moms in 2 weeks. Ahhh!
